From Vision To Vogue: The Birth Of FemmeWardrobe

A Journey Begins

Sohvara was born from a road of heartbreak and discovery. After a life-changing loss, our founder, Song Fei, set out on a 4,000-kilometer motorcycle journey along the legendary 318 Highway, from Shanghai to the sacred Potala Palace in Tibet. In a remote, little-known monastery, he felt peace for the first time in years. Before he left, a monk placed a mala bead in his hands and told him: “Carry these beads, recite with them, and your mind will find calm.”

A Broken Market

Years later, when seeking a second mala, Song Fei realized that most beads on the market were mass-produced, industrial imitations sold as if they were authentic Tibetan handcrafts. The spirit, the blessing, and the story were gone. He felt deceived — and more importantly, he saw how others searching for genuine spiritual connection could also be misled.

The Birth of Sohvara

To restore authenticity, Song Fei returned to Tibet, met local artisans, and listened to their stories as they hand-crafted malas with devotion and prayer. Out of this experience came Sohvara — a bridge between Tibet and the world. Every mala we share is woven with tradition, blessed with intention, and carries the same quiet strength that once guided a young traveler from heartbreak to harmony.
